Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed plans to move away from the standard 4-3-3 formation to get the best out of his new signings.
Jude Bellingham joined Real Madrid this summer to add to the array of superstar talent already at the Bernabeu.
However, such frightening talent all on one team can cause a selection headache for any manager, even one as seasoned as Carlo Ancelotti.
Ancelotti to change Real Madrid formation
With a midfield that now comprises Bellingham, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Dani Ceballos, and Arda Guler, the Italian tactician has decided it is time to try something new.
“It may be that this year we are going to play a different system, taking into account the business we have done,” Ancelotti told a virtual press conference.
“The systems we have used in recent years have given us lots of success and we must not forget that, but we have to try find a new style. “We are going to try it, especially on the tour, which is an important moment in our pre-season.”
