Biden tested positive for Covid-19 once again Saturday morning, per a letter from presidential physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor, in what is likely a “rebound” Covid-19.
“Folks, today I tested positive for COVID again,” Biden wrote on Twitter. “This happens with a small minority of folks. I’ve got no symptoms but I am going to isolate for the safety of everyone around me. I’m still at work, and will be back on the road soon.”
“Biden will not return to therapy since he has no re-emergence of symptoms and continues to feel fairly well.” According to the White House. Before testing positive on Saturday morning, according to O’Connor , the President had negative results on Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning, Thursday morning and Friday morning. The doctor added , “ Given his positive antigen test he will start severe isolation procedures .” Following a series of negative antigen tests , Biden stopped isolating on Wednesday.
On 21st July , 79 year old Biden, experienced his first positive test . His doctors reported that he had mild symptoms during his initial illness such as runny nose , lethargy, high temperature and a cough. The US Food and Drug Administration has granted Authorisation Paxlovid which needs prescription from a doctor and is used to treat mild Covid-19 for persons between 12 years and older who are at high risk of developing serious illness . The President finished 5 day course of it.
