The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has acquired high-tech body cameras to help in transmitting live action as detectives confront criminals .

Speaking on a statement on twitter , The DCI complemented the cameras for the infrared , night vision and live stream capabilities .

“In a bid to showcase real-time action as detectives confront dangerous criminals , DCI has acquired hi-tech body-cameras . The sophisticated high definition body -cams have infrared, night vison and live stream capabilities .” DCI said on a statement.

The DCI said that the hi-tech cameras will form part of their crime management kit and will record real-time events as they unfold .

This comes after netizens hugely requested to follow the proceedings as the DCI officers engage in their patrol.
