Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has lost his mum.
Monicah Njeri Waitu breathed his last on February,20th,2022.

She had been battling diabetes since 1982.
In a statement announcing the demise, Waitu stated
“My mother Monica Njeri Waititu breathed her last on Sunday, February 20th 2022.
A loving mother to my siblings and me and doting grandmother to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mum didn’t just raise me and my 14 siblings, her doors were always open to extended family, friends and even strangers,” Waititu mourned.
Waititu expressed gratitude to God for the many years his mother lived on earth even as he wished eternal glory in heaven.
“As a family, we really appreciate the many years God gave us with our matriarch. We are grateful for 93 years of her life and the many sacrifices she made to raise us.
