Some of the 1,225,597 candidates who sat for the KCPE 2021 warmly received their results on Monday as Education CS ,George Magoha released them in Mtihani House .
While releasing the KCPE 2021 Prof George Magoha said that the candidates performed better as compared to 2020 candidates .
Top candidate scored a total of 428 out of 500 whereas the top candidate the previous year managed 433 marks.

3. Mbugua Wairimu – Emmanuel Academy – 426

3. Stanley Omondi – Drophine Field Junior Secondary School – 426
3. Wekesa Naomi – White Star Academy – 426
3. Kimani Ithan – Stepping Stone Preparatory School – 426
9. Njeru Joel – Nyagua Primary School – 425
9. Dian Rose Natal – Facebeth Academy – 425
9. Kaberia Emmanuel Munene -425
9.Emmanuel Kiplangat – Moi Primary Kabarack – 425
9. George Morris Otieno – 425
10. Kimani Ethan – stepping stone academy

Also, a total of 315,275 students scored between 300 to 399 marks whereas 578,197 managed to score between 200 to 299 marks.
Prof George Magoha assured of a smooth transition to secondary school for all those candidates who received their results despite having fee arrears .
He also assured candidates who engaged in exam malpractice to also join secondary school for it is allowed by law to only cancel the exam the candidate cheated.
The CS education also reiterated that the academic calendar will revert to running from January to December as it was before covid 19 crisis.
