Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) comes to a close on Friday April 1, 2022 .
Candidates embarked on rehearsals on 25th Friday February, 2022 before the exams officially commenced on 28th February.
However, Practical subjects (Agriculture , computer , Art , woodwork , metalwork ) begun earlier and respective teachers of diverse institutions submitted milestones .
Starting subjects unlike in the past were practical papers which are done by few students ; Music practical , Arabic(oral), Kenyan sign language , French (oral) etc. Whereas the ending subjects were general sciences such as Geography ,Business studies , Agriculture and Physics .
KCSE 2021 has run a total of 33 days and is expected to standstill on Friday 1st April 2022 . However, students have been at liberty to leave the institutions after completion of the various exam papers.
KCSE 2021 has had an increase of 10.42 of the total registered candidates enrolling the exams .
Total number of students registered for the exams were over 831,026 whereas in KCSE 2020 were 752,602 .
During the Exams there were minimal number of cheating compared to other years as Education CS George Magoha had promised top security and enhanced Integrity of the exams .
Marking of the papers will begin as soon as possible .
