“This was a very difficult but crucial race for Nyali residents. I was sick during the electioneering period but I thank the people of Nyali for choosing me as the leader who will bring development,” Ali said shortly after being declared winner by the Nyali IEBC Returning Officer John ole Taiswa on Thursday evening.
Ali who is a former journalist first contested for the Nyali Mp seat in 2017 as an independent candidate.
