Shashemene City have been on the receiving end of many defeats this season and now star player Michael Nelson has been banned for four games.
This follows sanctions issued for the Ethiopian Premier League Week 19 matches held between 28 and 31 March.
All teams were in action except Bahir Dar Kenema and Wolkite whose fixture was postponed. The seven matches over this period produced 17 goals.
The Ethiopia Premier League disciplinary committee met and reviewed the reports of the various match officials.
The league’s administrator released the disciplinary decisions on Tuesday with Nelson receiving the harshest punishment/
Nelson was also fined 3000 birrs in addition to his four-match suspension for misconduct towards the match referee.
Bereket Gizaw (CBE), Biruk Mulugeta (Ethiopian Insurance), Berket Samuel (Hawassa City), Binyam Ayten (Adama City) and Amanuel Erbo (St George) will miss the upcomingWweek 20 matches due to five yellow cards.
