Juventus’ attempt to hijack Inter’s transfer for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku could receive a major boost as the Old Lady prepare to offload current forward Dusan Vlahovic to PSG
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly intensified efforts to sign Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus in a move that could open the door for Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku to join the Old Lady.
PSG make contact with Juventus for Vlahovic
Juve are looking to offload Vlahovic in order to secure a reasonable payday this summer and are willing to listen to offers for the striker, who they reportedly value at around €80 million.
With PSG also set to lose star striker Kylian Mbappe this summer, the Paris club are reportedly exploring options to replace the France captain, who is rumoured to be set for a move to Real Madrid this year or next.
They have sought deals for a number of forwards, including Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, but might be unwilling to meet the Partenopei’s demand of €80 million, instead opting for a cheaper option in Juventus’ Vlahovic.
Juventus’ Lukaku deal dependent on Vlahovic sale to PSG
The Serbian striker would be open to a move to France to join one of the biggest clubs in the world, especially as PSG will be playing in the UEFA Champions League in the 2023/24 season, while Juventus could be playing in the UEFA Europa Conference League or might be excluded from Europe entirely.
PSG’s move for Vlahovic means that Juvetus’ rumoured bid for Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku, valued at around €40 million could become active as the offer was dependent on the Old Lady being able to move on their Serbian forward.
Juventus are looking to hijack rivals Inter’s attempt to sign Lukaku on a permanent basis this summer, and could pull off a shock move for the Belgian if they are able to sell Vlahovic to PSG.
