- Russia has launched a massive air attack on the Ukrainian port city of Odesa, one of Ukraine’s main ports for exporting grain, for a second night in a row.
- Attacks were also reported in the capital, Kyiv, the city’s military administration said on the Telegram channel.
- More than 2,000 people from the area near the Kirovske military base in Crimea will be temporarily evacuated after a fire broke out at the base, the Russian-installed governor of Crimea said, without providing any reason for the fire.
- The chair of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff says that while Ukraine’s counteroffensive against Russia is far from a failure, there was “lots of fighting left to go”.
- The United Nations has said there were a “number of ideas being floated” to help get Ukrainian and Russian grain and fertiliser to global markets after Moscow pulled out of the grain export deal.
