A police officer attached to the elite Presidential Escort Unit was found dead at his house based at a General Service Unit camp situated at JUJA , Kiambu county .

Reports by media shows that Constable Samuel Ngatia died by suicide on April , April 11, after shooting himself in the head .

Samuel Ngatia is said to have shot himself while spending time alone in his house .

Preliminary reports reveal that he used his firearm , A Jericho pistol loaded with 13 bullets to perform the disheartening act.

Among the recovered items include used cartridge’s and bullets .

Police officers based in Kiambu county continue to carry out investigations in order to establish the root cause of the incident where the constable took his own life .
