“Next week, I am going to appear before my party, ODM, because I have been summoned before the disciplinary committee. I have looked at all the charges I am being accused of being a friend to Ruto,” he said.

“I know you are a friend to Baba (Raila Odinga) and you guys talk. Please talk to him because looking at others who are facing similar charges are the likes of Ojienda, who happens to be a lawyer. Jamani wasinimalize kama uko.”

He added that the Luo people were shocked when Ruto won because they were so confident they would triumph in the general election on August 9 under the leadership of Raila Odinga.

“If the election was an examination, we had a marking scheme. All we were to do was to transfer the answers. And things were going well till the last minute. We don’t know how you managed to win,” he told Ruto.

Jalang’o is one of nine ODM MPs who have been dubbed rebels for becoming friendly with Ruto.

Along with them are Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda, Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Paul Abuor (Rongo), and Elisha Odhiambo (Bondo).

On Wednesday of next week, the dissident MPs are scheduled to go before the ODM disciplinary committee, with the party threatening to expel them.
