Bayern Munich attacker Sadio Mane is reportedly a target for Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq, who are managed by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.

Sadio Mane left Premier League giants Liverpool to join Bayern Munich last summer after six successful years at Anfield.

However, his time in Munich has turned out to be a bitter disappointment and an exit is starting to look likely for the 31-year-old.

He was tipped to replace the departed Robert Lewandowski with goals and assists but In 38 games across all competitions, the Senegal international only managed 12 goals and six assists.

According to 90min, Bayern are trying desperately to offload Mane and Saudi Arabia has emerged as a potential landing spot for him.

Al Ettifaq, who recently appointed Gerrard as manager and are in serious negotiations to sign Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, want to challenge the league’s PIF-owned clubs – Al Ahli, Al Ittihad, Al Hilal, and Al Nassr for Mane’s services.

It remains to be seen whether the Liverpool icon prefers a move to the Middle East over continuing in Europe.
