RAINFORD KALABA DISCHARGED FROM UTH

Former Chipolopolo Striker Rainford Kalaba has been discharged from the University Teaching Hospital (UTH), 14 days after he was involved in a fatal road accident.




Former Chipolopolo Striker Rainford Kalaba has been discharged from the University Teaching Hospital (UTH), 14 days after he was involved in a fatal road accident.

UTH Public Relations Officer Nzeba Chanda, says Kalaba will now recuperate at a family home within Lusaka.

The former national football star sustained injuries in the crash that claimed the life of the female driver when the Mercedes Benz collided with a tanker truck, around Kafue S Corner along the Great North Road a fortnight ago.

Since admission to the nation’s biggest hospital, he has been making steady progress and only recently started to eat, talk and walk.



During his time in hospital, Kalaba was visited by several sympathizers among them Sports Minister, Elvis Nkandu, and TP Mazembe CEO, Moise Katumbi, among others.
