Stevo Simple Boy has landed a lifechanging opportunity after being named an ambassador by the Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK).
Following his visit with the rapper on July 5 and learning about his struggles, Dr. Mutua issued this declaration.
Dr. Mutua praised Stevo and that he has been a fan of the rapper ever since the rapper worked at the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB).
“Stevo is a talented young man, I remember I heard of him when I was still at the Kenya Film Classification Board and I started liking him then, in fact, there’s a time I even sent my personal assistant, and we were to meet,” said Mutua.
When Mutua discovered that Stevo had been having money problems that even caused a rift with his management, he was discouraged.
Mutua did concede that these difficulties were not unheard of, particularly in the music business where many musicians are still attempting to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic’s effects.
“He is a great guy, so when I learned that he was going through ups and downs, which is normal, you know since Covid a lot of musicians have not found their bearing, so we have met and I have even registered him as a member of MCSK,” he remarked.
Stevo Simple Boy has also been chosen to serve as a young ambassador for MCSK, with a focus on the fight against drug abuse.
This chance will increase Stevo’s visibility and provide him the chance to improve society through his music and influence.
Stevo Simple Boy, who has also been given a new house by Peter Salasya, the Member of Parliament for Mumias East, finds much-needed relaxation in this ambassadorial role and the support from MCSK.
Salasya offered to pay for her to enroll in a three-month hairdressing course so that Simple Boy and his wife could support themselves. Additionally, he promised to help her start a business.
