Incumbent Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru says she will be grateful and honored to be selected as DP William Ruto’s running mate for the forthcoming August General Elections .
Ann says she has what it takes to be the first ever Woman Deputy President in the history of Kenya as well as being the second in command .
Speaking in Kirinyaga county where she met a section of United Democratic Alliance nominees , Waiguru said , ” I am honored to host the Kirinyaga county UDA nominees meeting today .Top on our agenda was the team’s unity of purpose as the surest path to victory for our Party leader and the 5th president of the republic of Kenya ,Hon William Ruto and for every UDA nominee in this county on August 9.”
Ann Waiguru also admitted that the mantle in relation to running mate decision lies on DP William Ruto .
“To be mentioned as a possible running mate is respectable and fulfilling .It’s a sign that I have the credentials to lead at that level. I have received lots of encouragement from members of the party as well as my supporters and am hoping one of us is selected, ” she stated.
