Injury

Arsenal is grappling with an increasing number of injuries among their key players, as outlined by manager Mikel Arteta:

  1. Bukayo Saka: The talented forward’s availability for Arsenal’s next two matches, including a League Cup clash against Brentford and a league fixture against Bournemouth, is uncertain. Saka sustained a knock during the recent game against Tottenham Hotspur, during which he also managed to score.
  2. Declan Rice: The midfielder had to be substituted at halftime during the North London derby due to a back issue. He has not been able to participate in training sessions, although Arteta remains hopeful that the injury is not too severe.
  3. Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Thomas Partey: These players are currently unavailable for selection, further exacerbating Arsenal’s injury concerns.

Arteta acknowledged that the extensive list of injuries is making it challenging to rotate the squad for upcoming matches. Arsenal is in dire need of players making a swift recovery to bolster their lineup. This situation presents a considerable challenge for the club, necessitating careful management of their available resources in the absence of key players.
