Lee Kinyanjui ditches his party (UPF) seeks to defend gubernatorial seat under Jubilee

Nakuru Governor , Lee kinyanjui has defected from his Ubuntu Party Forum to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party .

Lee will be seeking for re-election under Jubilee Party ticket following talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta .

In a statement on his Facebook account Lee stated that the decision was arrived at to support President Uhuru’s bid to unify the country.

“To consolidate the Azimio Coalition support base and lead the campaign team in the region , a decision has been arrived at that I defend my Governor seat on Jubilee Party ticket ,” read the statement.

Lee also stated the decision was made under full consultation with top leaders and members of the Ubuntu Peoples Forum(UPF) party.

“This decision has been made in full consultation with top leadership and members of the Ubuntu Peoples Forum -UPF party ,”he said.

Lee Kinyanjui will be battling it out with the current Senator Hon Susan Kihika who is under United Democratic Alliance party ticket .

Lee also promised to support Ubuntu Peoples Forum (UPF) candidates in the various elective positions in line with the party mandate .

Governor Lee also disclosed Senator Susan Kihika’s plot to sponsor candidates in variuos parties with an aim of dissolving his support base .

“We are deeply aware of attempts by the opponents to sponsor candidates in various parties with a view to splitting our support base . Consequently , we shall be unveiling the candidates under Azimio after the nominations and we will strive to have only one candidate for each seat from MP to Governor ,”Lee Kinyanjui said.
